Jasmine (Red)

This costume concluded my 2020 summer of Jasmine cosplays. This costume was actually the one that started my Jasmine cosplay journey. I have always loved this scene in Aladdin where Jasmine takes a stand for herself and takes steps to free herself and aid Aladdin in freeing her kingdom.
This red fabric was the inspiration for this costume, it was a SET Of CURTAINS! I just loved transforming these lovely curtains into something so pretty. I want to especially thank my Mother-in-Love, Lisa, for finding and gifting these lovely curtains to me. She saw them and just knew that I would want to turn them into a fabulous costume. Thank you Lisa for helping me find the inspiration for this look. (and yes, there is still a ton of fabric left, so you may see this fabric again sometime) Thank you Nick for taking such fantastic photos of this costume and thank you Jen for helping me change between Jasmine costumes and also helping me with some of the posing for this shoot. At this point in the day my brain was fried and I don't know that I could have had even half as sucessful a shoot without the both of you. |
